Over recent years the substantial growth in UK property prices has outstripped the income generated by people in their mid/late twenties. For single people, finding a deposit is certainly difficult enough, and with the need for a substantial mortgage, repayments are not within their income realm.

Will this phenomenon continue? Forecasters are concluding that although there may well be a period of stagnation, or even a reduction over the next 10 years, the UK property market will continue to stretch away from earned income. As there is a long standing tradition for UK youngsters to fly the family nest much earlier than in other European countries, the UK alternative is for youngsters to rent a property.

Almost all dwellings have one. It is that patch of green we know as our lawn.

When spring arrives, most folks turn to maintaining their lawns. A well maintained lawn is something we admire, get compliments on, and spend a lot of money per year to keep up.

I live in a relatively quiet residential neighborhood, however, my neighbors must listen to the same weather report at the same time. It is like clockwork. Parents pull in their driveways from work, the kids are home from school, and then it begins.

Whenever my buddy Johnny Karloff looks into something written about Borovets he is flying off the handle. Look at those dumb heads. What is with them to write the same garbage over and over again? Borovets is the oldest Bulgarian ski resort, right.., so what? When you go skiing do you want a 1948 vintage chair lift hanging from a rusted cable? Borovets is located in pristine pine woods and the air is healthy and pollution free. Johnny goes on mocking some hotel flyer. It better be, with all the cigarette smoke and alcohol in your system, you don t want to inhale tail pipe exhaust walking back to your new ski apartment at 2 a.m.,

If you and your buddies are looking for somewhere different to vacation this year or next, how about one of the many golf vacations in Scotland that you must have seen advertised. Scotland is generally regarded as the home of golf, and though the Dutch and the Chinese both claim that they invented golf, this takes a bit of believing. Come on! Neither the Dutch nor the Chinese are known for their golfing history in the same way that the Scots are, so in spite of all the evidence they claim to evince we will stick to the Scots who have the better known pedigree.

Palm Springs Golf

There’s probably no better place in the United States to play golf than in Palm Springs, California. This beautiful location is host to many, many golf courses that give amateurs and pros the chance to best the course while basking in the beautiful California weather.
